Advisor, El Paso Market
Marybeth made El Paso her home in 2009 and has embraced her community on all levels. Few things are more satisfying to Marybeth than working with diverse stakeholders to find common ground and solutions to make her city a better place to live for all. She has worked hard to learn and understand the region and those who lead and influence its direction. Marybeth’s diverse background, including living and working in Mexico City, El Salvador, and Washington, D.C., provides a unique perspective that enables her to analyze people and organizations so as to understand the optimal approach for fostering positive relationships.
Her law degree from Catholic University in Washington, D.C. and her B. A. from the University of Texas in Austin provided the foundation for her to be a lifelong learner and now a teacher. She will teach Organizational Communication and Leadership at the University of Texas in El Paso in spring 2016. She finds that some of the best ways to bring people together are sharing what we have in common, including her love for all things outdoors, dining with friends, and, of course, the Chihuahuas. “Working with the Metropia team to positively impact so many people and make cities better places to live is a privilege,” she says.
