Metropia, Inc., developer of innovative mobility solutions, is seeking a full-time community / marketing manager in its Tucson, Arizona market. This person maintains and promotes a positive image on behalf of Metropia and supports the development and management of market-level programs and services and integrated marketing including social media. The position is supported by Metropia’s headquarter cross-cutting teams located in Austin and Tucson. Areas of responsibility include:


  • Lead market-level strategic planning; set and meet quarterly goals; monitor and report on program and impacts.
  • Build and maintain strong partnerships with local transportation and business leaders, local businesses and employers.
  • Conduct market-level engagement, outreach and advocacy with the purpose of growing brand awareness, securing Metropia app downloads, and building stakeholder and user support and champions. This includes: organizing and conducting events; developing content for materials such as flyers, newsletter and blog articles, and more; representing Metropia at stakeholder meetings; preparing and conducting presentations.
  • Plan and manage a wide range of integrated marketing initiatives that include print, digital, experiential, broadcast and media relations.
  • Assist in building a strong social media presence by creating monthly social media editorial calendars, generating content, and monitoring social engagement.
  • Provide customer support by coordinating market-level Mobility-as-a-Service (MaaS) activities, monitoring customer feedback, and fielding app and service level inquiries.
  • Support new feature and product releases, including market-level field testing of new feature and product releases.
  • Be a Metropia evangelist and passionate advocate for app users and answer any questions that come your way.

We are seeking a local Product Operations Engineer for our new El Paso, Texas office. The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

      • Development, operation and maintenance of extensive product testing procedures for our mobile traffic app system. This includes performing and documenting testing procedures for front, backend, and database systems.
      • Assist with network data collection, processing and quality assurance for the local market.
      • Support local traffic management center operations.
      • Conducting usability, interface, performance, and operational product testing -- both in the office and the field -- to ensure a quality product.
      • Back local community outreach and ecosystem development activities.
      • Proactively analyze local performance quality, customer service requests, and more. We like people that have a 24-hour-a-day relationship with data.

      Metropia, Inc., developer of innovative active traffic demand management solutions, is expanding and we are seeking a full-time Operations Engineer for our new Austin, TX office. The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:


      • Assisting with the development and maintenance of extensive product testing procedures for our mobile traffic app system as new features are released. This includes documenting the testing procedures for both the front and backend system.
      • Conducting usability, interface, performance, and operational product testing, in both the office and field environments to ensure a quality product.
      • Assisting with network map data and real-time traffic data processing
      • Quality assurance for the pre-launch into new market areas.
      • Supporting the team's effort to complete the initial phases of the setup and organization of a customer service team.
      • Supporting preliminary data analytics on end-user data to better improve the product and aggregation of local performance metrics of individual user's benefits and regional benefits.
      • Being proactive in supporting Metropia to reach key milestones by raising awareness and engaging existing users within the community.
      • Bachelor's degree in science and engineering with preference for Transportation Engineering or System Engineering. Other academic backgrounds with relevant experience will also be considered.
      • Experience with transportation professional firms, Traffic Management Center (TMC) operations, Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS), transportation modeling and traffic flow theory fundamentals is preferred. Past interaction with transportation agencies is a plus.

        We are seeking a software engineer to develop and maintain web-based systems, including the frontend and backend for company internal sub systems using web-based architectures. The responsibilities of this position are:


        • Assisting software manager to define system specifications based on business needs, then assist in building the system.
        • Assume responsibility for full-stack development, working on everything from front-end HTML, CSS and JS, to server-side code and database schemes.
        • Proactive with quality assurance. You will be expected to test your own work, use it, find pain points, and then improve upon your system.
        • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/Engineering, MIS, or related fields, or significant equivalent experience.
        • Advanced skills in server-side web development stack framework (e.g. Flask, Django, RoR, etc.). Experience in web2py a plus.
