Wildcats fans can find real-time parking before heading to campus
In their growing effort to reduce on campus congestion and enhance the gameday experience for UA football fans, Metropia is once again working with University of Arizona Parking and Transportation Services (UA PTS) to make arriving at the stadium easier than ever.
Rather than circling campus searching for a spot, drivers can choose their ideal lot in the Metropia app before heading to campus. App users can see which lots have available parking in real-time and choose the perfect lot based on location and lot type, including paid, permitted and disabled lots.
Sharing a ride to the game has never been more rewarding either! Carpools of 3 or more Wildcats can park for free at Tyndall, Main Gate, Park Avenue and Highland Avenue Garages by using Metropia’s DUO carpooling feature. Passengers can even be dropped off closer to the stadium before heading to your lot and parking your car.
In addition to finding a convenient parking spot, UA fans using the Metropia app to drive to the game will be entered into a raffle for a UA prize pack, with the winner announced in-app at halftime each game.
UA PTS is committed to improving transportation on campus year-round. The gameday partnership is just one of a growing number of efforts between UA PTS and Metropia to improve traffic flow and incentivize carpooling among Wildcats. Students, faculty and staff are encouraged to use the Metropia app throughout the semester for improved commutes and the chance to win awesome rewards. UA & Metropia have also worked together to enhance mobility at Spring Fling and the Tucson Festival of Books.
